Besides avoiding solvent and chemical additive exposure, creating your own vegetable-based paint means opting for safe materials from renewable natural resources. Natural Vegetable Dyes are the best choice for anyone looking to get the most out of their fabric. They are eco-friendly and safe to use. They do not contain any chemicals or harmful substances which could be harmful to the human body.
Ancient India was very advanced when it came to the innovative use of natural substances. Every traditional art form employed the use of natural pigments, though the process of creating the paint might have been different. Plants, minerals, and animals are typically the three sources of natural pigments. All of India’s traditional art forms, such as Pichwai, Gond, Bhil art, etc. use natural pigments to create paint.
Homemade fruit and vegetable paint is recycling at its finest. Vegetable dye is easy to make and the application is comparable to that of watercolor paint. Vegetable is essentially a stain and will last as long as typical acrylic paint.
Vegetable Dye
Paint made from vegetables and fruits
I have been running vegetable paint workshops for a few years now, and they have been incredibly successful. The natural paint made from vegetables is environmentally safe, eco-friendly, and a highly sustainable way to create beautiful artwork. Participants in the workshops have enjoyed learning about the process of making and using vegetable-based paints, and have been impressed with the vibrant and unique colors that can be achieved. It's been a wonderful opportunity to promote environmentally friendly art practices and to inspire others to consider alternative and sustainable materials in their creative endeavors I use dye from beetroot, onion skin, spinach, red cabbage, turmeric and berries to create the painting.
